I am very excited to share with all of you that I am enrolled in a very extensive program to incorporate Certified Health Coach to my business. I am already very passionate about health and work with clients like yourself on improving your health so you can feel more joy in your life, however this certification will allow me a very large tool box to help you create lasting change in your life. Most people think health solely focuses on your physical body. They think about losing weight, eating healthier, or setting specific health goals, but this is only a portion of what a Health Coach addresses. We are all familiar with the famous food pyramid that shows us what food we should ideally be eating everyday. The USDA has officially changed the food pyramid to the MyPlate image.
What I LOVE about the Integrative Nutrition Plate (from the school I am attending) is that it incorporates primary food to the plate. This plate is surrounded with lifestyle factors that create optimal health- relationships, career, physical activity, and spirituality. We call these elements primary food because they’re often more important than the food that’s on your plate. This week I would love for you to print out the Integrative Nutrition Plate and try to incorporate all of the foods into your daily routine.
Relationships: Being well connected with others is an essential part of life, and the quality of our relationships explains a lot about the quality of our health.
Career: Work is a huge part of our daily routine, yet how many of us really enjoy it? Finding work you love is essential to living a healthy, balanced life.
Physical Activity: Our bodies thrive on movement, and quickly degenerate without it. Find a routine that can nourish you on a regular basis.
Spirituality: Spirituality can feed us on a very deep level and dramatically diminish our cravings for superficial rewards of life.
