My mother passed away from Lou Gehrigs when I was only 24 years old. She was an absolutely amazing woman, full of life and passion. I always vowed at some point in my life I would put some of my energy into raising awareness for this disease. For those of you that are unfamiliar with the disease, I am very happy that you have never had to witness the heartache first hand. I feel like each and every one of us has the capacity to make a difference in this world, and it is also our responsibility to teach others how to live from a place of giving. If you are looking for a cause to support, I would love for you to explore ALS and see if it touches your heart.
